Alarm Door Barrier

Very quick and easy way to setup a barrier to any door.

These brightly coloured door barriers help to prevent accidents by directing residents away from potential hazard areas. Promotes resident privacy. Placed across a room doorway, this brightly coloured strip often stops the cognitively impaired wanderer from entering another resident’s room. It also acts as a reminder for the resident inside a room not to leave. Secured with hook and loop the door barrier is not a physical barrier, so it may be used as part of a restraint reduction program.

Easy to Use: The Door Barrier is affixed to the door with a hook and loop.

Peel the backing off the hook and loop pressure-sensitive strips and attach them to the left and right sides of the door frame.

These strips should be positioned at mid height on the door frame (Fig. 1).
IMPORTANT: Attach the pressure sensitive strips to the corridor side of the door frame (Fig. 2).

Alarm Attachment: The Alarm Door Barrier system includes hook and loop strips. Peel the backing off one of the longer hook and loop strips and attach it to the hinged side of the door frame. Attach the other smaller strip to the door knob side of the door frame. (see Fig. 2).

2. Attach alarm unit to the hook and loop strip on the non-hinged side of the door. (see Fig. 3).

3. Attach the hook and loop material on the stop strip to the strip on the hinged side of the door. Bring stop strip across the door and
attach the magnet sewn into the strip on the alarm unit (see Fig. 1).

4. Set alarm volume by moving the switch to the Hi or Low position
